Large Régence beech armchair with carved arms and legs. A central cabochon on the apron and along the top of the frame in the shape of a shell with rococo style acanthus leaves either side, cabriole legs with carved acanthus leaves terminating in scrolling feet. Open arms with carved scrolls.
Upholstered in blue stripes with a loose bolster cushion.
Evidence of historic woodworm (inactive), consistent with age, small losses, country house condition.
